What Happened

Less than 24 hours before the Super Bowl kickoff, a car hit a major transmission tower, collapsing it onto distribution lines and causing an outage for over 600 customers.

Eversource Energy NH contacted Prime Power Rentals to help restore power at 10 PM on a cold, snowy Saturday night with the big game kickoff counting down.

Services Provided

Even with heavy snow and treacherous traveling conditions, Prime Power Rentals’ team restored power to more than 450 customers by 5 AM with their POWER PACK.

Prime Power Rentals deployed their 2.2 MW generator to power a 2500 kVA transformer to restore service for the remaining customers. With all equipment operational and online, the team ensured power was restored with plenty of time for everyone to enjoy the Super Bowl uninterrupted.

The POWER PACK is Prime Power Rentals’ newest fleet addition. It consists of a 1MW diesel generator, a 1000kVA transformer capable of producing primary voltage up to 13.8kV, and a hydraulically operated extendable power pole known as the Rapid Pole. All this equipment is contained in one 45-foot trailer.
